Bio

Katie grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Iowa, where she developed a lifelong connection to agriculture and DHI testing. She went on to earn her B.S. in Dairy Science from Iowa State University before spending eight years as a herdsman and on-farm supervisor, gaining firsthand experience with herd management and the challenges producers face.

For the past four years, Katie has served as a Technical Support Analyst at DRMS. She helps producers and industry partners get the most out of tools like Dart, HerdHQ, and DHI reports, coordinates Co-Op Ed farm visits, and leads projects that bring new data sources into the system — all with the goal of turning information into better herd decisions.

Katie also maintains a small Ayrshire herd that started from her 4-H project calves — a passion that keeps her rooted in dairy and connected to the work she supports every day.
